Answer:
It will depend on what you are hanging the hook onto. We attached to 2x4 nailed into stud in our barn . The hooks are very strong and hold up our shovels and ladders and electric blowers

In my opinion, YES, these hooks will hold cast iron pans. Now, if you have INDUSTRIAL size pans, maybe not. But, typical (home use), I do believe they will work for you. (If not, you can easily return them.). I hope this helps.

No the magnet doesn't hold onto them. Which means they are higher grade stainless steel.

Not sure of the actual measurements but if your using them like I am to hang my jeans, then they fit perfectly and sturdy on the closet rod

They are quite large, approximately 1 - 3/4". If you want to gauge the size, they are larger than the width of a standard shower curtain hook. I hope this help you.
